At Stylistpick HQ we’re always excited to discover up and coming trends, and what we saw for AW14 certainly didn’t disappoint! We may be getting a little ahead of ourselves, but we just couldn’t wait to share the super wearable collections we loved for next autumn and inspire you to update your wardrobe. These are the trends to buy now and wear for the next two seasons!
Give your coat a much needed makeover this AW14. Colour and cut are key. Brightly coloured coats ruled the runway at Fendi and Jasper Conran, get the look with this coloured blazer from Izabel London. Choose an oversize parker to ensure you stay not just stylish but warm all winter long, we love Jumpo’s – complete with a fur trim hood.
Metallic is huge for SS14 and we’re pleased to announce that they will be a key trend for AW14. Ashish stormed ahead (of course!) with a collection of full sequined looks followed by Pascal Millet’s golden two piece. Opt for sublte sparkly details on your accessories such as Ziba’s clutch bag or shine in an all over metallic mini dress by Ruby Rocks.
Abstract and digital prints made several appearances at Milan Fashion week. True Decadence’s shift dress is the perfect option if you love Marni’s graphic prints. We also can’t get enough of Poppy Lux’s Elise skirt, perfect paired with a denim shirt for SS14; just add a chunky knit for AW14.
Buffalo boots made a comeback at London Fashion week with Ashish debuting platform Buffalos with flashing soles, a complete 90′s revival. Knee high styles were just as popular on the runways, with Gucci’s boots coming in varying shades of snake. London Rebel’s animal print ankle boots are the perfect statement pair while Carlton London’s Halle are the perfect go to boots for any occasion.
Introducing the colour of the season, red. Shades of scarlet and crimson heavily featured at Dolce & Gabbana’s show at MFW and we can’t help but fall in love. Koo-Ture’s Casey dress is perfect for day or night and will ensure you turn a few heads. Rock two trends in one with Closet’s digital print tea dress.
